Somos S.U.R Collective
To a large extent, S.U.R. is an attempt to decolonize the spaces of knowledge production. In this sense, we seek to incorporate Latin American voices, perspectives, and forms of knowledge that do not necessarily come from formal academic models, such as organizational processes of struggle and resistance, as well as community and cultural processes.
Through design methodologies, collective actions, and acting bodies, we want to shake everything so that the university (Aalto University) can mainstream the epistemic perspectives of the South in its strategies.
We understand the South as a geography and a way of stopping, looking, dancing, and feeling the world.
